02Desktop app

Never alt-tab to a wiki again — ask mid-game, get the answer right over your screen.

Press Alt + G — or Alt + M

Alt + G summons the overlay over any game. Alt + M opens it straight into voice, so you never let go of the controls.

Ask, or just say it

Type your question — a boss, a build, where to go next — or speak it out loud mid-fight and keep playing.

Get the answer

Right over your screen, in seconds — text, an image, a clip, or the track you couldn't place.

Why GamePing

Why GamePing, honestly

Not another feature list — how we work, and what we won't do.

No one pays to be recommended

No ads, no sponsored slots. Nothing ranks higher because a studio paid for it — the picks answer your words, or they don't. We may earn a commission if you buy through a store link; it never moves a game up the list.

Real store prices, and a nudge to check

Live from Steam, IsThereAnyDeal and CheapShark, with a link straight to the store. Prices move — we'd rather you confirm there than trust ours as final.

One account, web and desktop

Companion signs in with the same GamePing account and inherits your plan. No second login, no separate subscription.

Measured only if you say yes

Nothing tracks you until you accept the banner. Refuse, and the analytics never load — not loaded and then ignored. Never loaded at all.

Early access, and we say so

Companion is an alpha and the site is early access. Where something is unfinished we write it down — Companion even has a page listing what it can't do yet.

FAQ

Good to know

Is GamePing free?

Yes — the core discovery engine and the Companion's text chat are free, no credit card. Premium raises the limits and adds personalized picks, taste-matched deals, and more. Compare the plans.

What does Discovery actually do?

Describe a vibe in your own words and get an explained shortlist, plus curated collections, hidden gems, weekly picks, and price-aware deals — all tuned to your taste. Open Discovery.

What is the Companion?

A desktop overlay you summon with Alt + G — ask a question mid-play, by typing or by voice, and the answer appears right over your screen, no alt-tabbing to a wiki. Free includes 25 requests a day; Premium raises that to 100, unlocks rich answers — video, music player and game maps — and lets it read your game screen so you can point at something and just ask what it is. More on Companion.

…and WorldMobilize?

That would be telling. It's the third product, it's being built, and it isn't ready yet — that's all we're saying for now. Keep an eye on it.

Where do the prices come from?

Live store data via IsThereAnyDeal, Steam, and CheapShark, with game info from RAWG. Prices and availability can change — always confirm on the store before buying.

Do I need an account, and how does it learn my taste?

You can run recommendations straight away; an account only matters once you want to save searches, track games, or get alerts. It learns from what you tell it, what you save and track — and, if you connect Steam, your library and playtime.
